International Students’ monthly living expenses in the UK- 2024

When we are planning to move to different countries, the first thing that comes to mind is how much we are going to earn. We ignore the expense part. Now, we need to be smart enough to calculate how much rent, groceries, transportation, and other bills deduct from our earnings and whatever is left with us. In this article, we let you know the monthly living expenses in the UK for international students coming here in 2024 to understand the cost of living.

We move to Glasgow City, Scotland, UK, on August 17, 2023. We paid the first month’s room rent and deposits, which amounted to £1100 (£550+£550) before arriving here. Also, we agreed to pay 2/3 of our energy bills. Room rent is paid on the 17th, and the energy bill is paid on the 1st of each month. For your convenience, the latest expenses are at the top of the list, which is daily updated.

I have provided this data for your better understanding of how much expense is required for the month. The expenses mentioned here may not match with other people’s expenses, but just to make you aware, we carried most of the essential things from our country when we moved here. I will provide an idea of the necessary materials to bring with you when you come to the UK soon. Let’s begin our topic, Monthly Living Expenses in the UK.
